With deep sadness, the Mennello Museum of American Art mourns the passing of Walter A. Ketcham, our esteemed Friends Board Chair, who passed away peacefully September 1, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Walter’s long-standing dedication since 2015, leadership as Chair, and steadfast philanthropic support alongside his wife, Vanessa, leaves a lasting legacy on the Mennello Museum of American Art and the broader community. He brought wisdom, generosity, and humor and we are honored by his kindness in advancing the museum and helping to cultivate a map for the future of the museum.

We extend our thoughts and deepest condolences to Walter’s wife Vanessa, his family, and friends during this difficult time. His kind leadership will be missed by many.
